Abraham Ovalles a New York City native and product of New York City's public education system. Today, Mr. Ovalles serves as a Teacher Team Leadership (TTL) coach for the New York City Department of Education's Office of Educator Development. He has served in this capacity for four years, collaborating with multiple districts, networks, and Superintendents across New York City public schools. Prior to this role, Mr. Ovalles took steps towards his leadership progression in the NYCDOE by completing the Emerging Teacher Leadership Program (ETLP), leading multiple initiatives in his school community, and achieving his School Building Leadership license. Mr. Ovalles wholeheartedly believes in the power and impact of teacher leadership in that it positively shifts mindsets, helps retain strong and passionate educators, and increases student achievement.
