Melanie Peterson-Nafziger is a World Savvy Professional Learning Facilitator partnering with schools, districts, communities to build inclusive, equitable, future-ready education that prepares youth to thrive in our complex, interconnected world. Melanie has worked as an IB history, global politics, and theory of knowledge teacher; IBDP coordinator; IBDP Montessori school administrator; and Minnesota Association of IB Schools board member. Melanie leans into author Arundhati Roy’s notion of pandemic as portal – a gateway from the past to a reimagined humane learning world where students and educators joyfully become globally competent creative thinkers and changemakers, nudging our complex world in a positive direction.
