Dr. Jared Fox (he/him), has over twenty years of experience working in education with seventeen spent serving as a New York City public school science teacher.

His consulting practice leverages his research background and deep practical work experience to help schools and organizations design authentic learning experiences at the intersection of science, the environment, and social justice. Past and current clients include Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Futures Ignite, NYC H2O, and teachers serving in New York City Public Schools.

As a teacher, Jared held the positions of science department chair, instructional coach, mentor teacher, and instructional leadership team member. He is the co-founder of the award winning Clean Air Green Corridor initiative, a Black and Brown youth-led movement to address the environmental injustices faced by his students and their families in the New York City neighborhood of Washington Heights.

Jared has been recognized as a Math for America (MƒA) Master Teacher, Academy for Teachers Fellow, the Sloan Award winner for Excellence in Teaching Science and Mathematics, a Time Square New Years Eve Waterford Crystal Ball Honoree, and a WE ACT for Environmental Justice Advocate.

His doctoral research focused on how mobile science labs impact urban students' attitude towards science and was inspired by his service as a board member for BioBus, Inc., an organization dedicated to bringing high-quality science education experiences to communities and individuals traditionally underrepresented in STEM.

Outside of his work Jared loves spending time with his family, kicking it on the soccer field, cycling around the DC metro area, and writing his forthcoming book, Learning Environment, an actionable guidebook for teaching science and environmental education in urban settings.
